AUDITIONS for Children of Eden by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin) will be held on the following dates and times:

Sunday, Sept., 8th, 2:00-4:00
Tuesday, Sept. 10th, 7:30-9:30

Callbacks will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12th, 7:30.

In addition to a one-minute monologue, please prepare a song (prefer not from the show but in a similar style) consisting of approximately 32 bars.

Auditions will be held at 14 Court Street in Nashua in the Carey & Henderson Studio.

On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor Robert contemplates his unmarried state. In vignette after hilarious vignette, we are introduced to "those good and crazy people," his married friends, as Robert weighs the pros and cons of married life. In the end, he realizes being alone is "alone, not alive."

An honest, witty, sophisticated look at relationships, COMPANY is as contemporary and relevant as ever. It features a brilliant energetic score containing many of Stephen Sondheim's best-known songs (including "Another Hundred People," "The Ladies Who Lunch" and "Being Alive").

You're a Good Man Charlie Brown tells the story of an average day in the life of the famous comic strip child hero, Charlie Brown. The audience is introduced to the whole Peanuts gang: Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Shroeder, Sally, and Snoopy. All of the characters share their observations of Charlie Brown. As the play progresses, the relationships of the Peanuts characters to one another are further expanded. Lucy is infatuated with Schroeder and takes great pleasure in tormenting Charlie Brown. Linus loves his blanket. Snoopy lives in his rich imagination. Charlie Brown is in love with a mysterious little, redheaded girl.

Frederic has fallen in love with sweet innocent Mabel. Yet his vocation is an impediment to their union. Perhaps the situation can be rectified by his old nurse, Ruth, who was hard of hearing, made a dreadful blunder years before. Fredric was meant to be an apprentice to a pilot, but Ruth mistakes her master's wish. Instead of being apprenticed to a pilot, he was apprenticed to a pirate, but not just any pirate--the Pirate King, leader of the not-so-fierce "Pirates of Penzance." After many years, Frederic discovers the truth. He is ready to leave the Pirates of Penzance when Ruth pleads for him to take her with him. He agrees, but shortly afterward, he meets the daughters of the Major-General and falls madly in love with them, so he rejects Ruth. But unfortunately, his sense of duty as a pirate is stuck in the middle...continued

Melodrama – Oregon Country

The Widow White and her daughter, Nell, come to Oregon Country to invest their savings. They become victims of Nathaniel Blackside and his sidekick, Stalder Slough, a shady character. Blackside sells them a gold mine (which is somewhat short on gold). Others in the town include Captain Jack, a steamboat operator, Mrs. Norman Van Wealth, an affluent matron, Rock Creke, the sheriff, Minnie Moore, a fallen lady, and Clara Clene, President of the Anti-litter Ladies League.

Come join us to see this cast of characters (and they are ALL characters!) at the Lawrence Barn in Hollis on August 17 and 18, 2012.
